The corridor is clear. The party moves to join Kai by the opening.

KAI

Kai, assuming he sees nothing down the corridor leading out of the room will walk to the next corner and check the connecting corridor. If it is also clear, he will signal for the group to move up and will then check the "puzzle" corridor.

As far as Kai can see this corridor is also clear. Moving towards the "puzzle" corridor, the wall widens slightly. The party can walk three abreast in this widened hallway, if they wish. The party moves up to where Kai is located. Kai finds the "puzzle" corridor empty as well, as far as he can see (which is to the "end" of the map).

KAI

Kai will do the same check and head into the hallway and will head to the end of the map (roughly) which should give the group enough room to get into the corridor at which time he will begin to scout ahead again.

"Perhaps you should allow me to scan for magic," Iago offers, flying up to Kai's position and activating Detect Magic.

Yuki Onna follows patiently, having Rathnaya guard her as the group advances.

Kai halts and steps to the side, gesturing for Iago to pass.

Iago activates his Detect Magic and scans the area in front of him for any signs of magic.

The entirety of the complex is so bright with magic that Iago must shield his eyes.

"He blinded me with MAGIC!" Iago cries, bringing his hands up to his eyes. "Damn, that's a lot of magic...

(Can I now try to ID the various schools of magic involved in the auras? My spellcraft modifier is +14, if you'd rather roll for identification of the many auras for me.)

((You will need one round to let your "eyes" adjust to the "brightness". How many rounds would you like to study the magic to determine the auras?))

The Detect Magic spell description would seem to indicate that I only need to spend 3 rounds to learn all the information that I can from the spell for all magical effects that I can see.

((Yes, but only two rounds are needed to identify the number of different auras. A third round is required to identify strength and location of each aura. This does not include the additional round due to the overwhelming number of auras either. You had stated you only wished to ID the various schools of magic, denoting nothing about strength, so I didn't want to give you incorrect or incomplete information. Do you only wish to use three turns and find out the schools used, or four turns and find the strength and location of each?))

Kai watches the hall that the group just came from, alert for movement. After the encounter with Krod, he also keeps an eye on the surrounding walls, ceiling and floor.

PELENAL
The image of Pelenal remains silent at this time, but observes the surroundings.

Yuki amuses herself by blowing different mist shapes with her breath. Rathnaya perks her ears, trying in vain to mimic her master. The wolf's shapes are more like amorphous blobs, which dismays the wolf greatly.

As Iago scans the hallway ahead for magic Jarili leans his back against the wall, tired from the draining affects of the spectre. Almost immediately Jarili screams out, loud enough to wake the dead.

Kai whips around, expecting to see another spectre coming out of the walls (or ceiling or floor).

"Why you are giving away our position and disturbing my concentration?" Iago snaps, still trying to ascertain the exact nature of the magic before him.

((Is nobody else doing anything?))

Yuki looks around systematically, attempting the discern the source of Jarili's fear.
