Unable to do much else, Yuki watches with acute curiosity.

Hopefully we'll be able to break through and grab the body with this.

Iago fires off another burst of dispelling.

Iago lets loose another dispel. The non-projection members of the group, familiar with the effects casting the spell has in this room, are ready for the blast and come to no harm.

Pelenal, on the other hand, lifts his hands to his head to scream, but abruptly disappears before any sound emerges.

The shield surrounding Pelenal disappears with a bright flash.

"Alright, we got the body!" Iago exclaims, flying up to Pelenal. "Er... anyone got an idea of what to do next? I'm not opposed to, say sticking it in a bag of holding or something...

Iago runs his hands through Pelenal's vestments, on the chance that he'll find something useful.

Iago searches Pelenal's breastplate covered body, finding a silver holy symbol of an unknown god around his neck, a ring on his finger. A bag at his feet seems to contain the bulk of his equipment, including a longsword, morning star, shield, some healer's kits and two liquid containers of some sort, along with a waterskin.

Iago notices Pelenal's body shows no sign of decomp and he still has color to his skin.

Yuki goes to check if Pelenal's alive.

(Checking for pulse/breathing.)

Pelenal is alive, although barely. His pulse is weak, breathing shallow and he is cold to the touch. Sweat barely beads his upper lip.

"Yuki, do you have any healing potions? I think our friend could use a boost," Iago suggests upon feeling Pelenal's pulse.

"Well, up you go. We'll have to heal you in a safer place anyways." Iago gives Pelenal a good slap in the face before shouldering him and moving towards the door.

(Is there an exit? It's been a while so I might have forgotten some of the finer points of the layout...)

Iago glances around the room. The room is large and round. The dust here is incredibly thick and there appear to have been wooden tables (now blown to bits) throughout the room. A few stone tables exist on the far side of the room with what appear to be blue force shields over them (shields now gone). The walls appear to be the same as the hallway he just took the test in, as well as the remainder of the necromancers compound, but unlike the compound, which felt of death, this place feels cleaner, preserved.

Iago sees no doors.

Iago again notices the plaque and alcove similar to the ones from the test. The handle is pointing to the left and the plaque reads, "Congratulations on passing the First Test. Please place your block in the alcove when you are ready to leave the room."

"Let it never be said that I can't understand instructions, even if I don't always follow them...

Iago shifts the burden of supporting the paladin onto his left shoulder and wraps his right hand around the weighty metal block. He carefully inserts his prize into the designated slot and quickly hides behind Pelenals body.

Iago finds that he can't place the block into the alcove. A force of some sort is keeping the block out.

"Hmm... interesting. Perhaps it's only meant for one person? Iago lays Pelenal down and tries to insert the block again.

Iago can still not place the block into the alcove.

"Er... Yuki, got any ideas? Iago asks. "Clearly there's something more to this."

Iago gives the handle a tug with his free hand, in case it unlocks the alcove, and turns it up, and then right, trying the block at each turn.

The handle slides into the up position and the plaque changes to a worn blank slate. Turning the handle further right changes the plaque yet again, this time reading "Congratulations on passing The Third Test." with the remainder of the message staying the same.

Iago will try inserting it with the handle in the utmost right position, then with the handle in the upright position.

If that doesn't work, he will make Pelenal comfortable and suggest to the others that they rest and take time to recover, as the group is a little beat. Also, it would be a good idea to get to know each other's capabilities and prepare accordingly.

Iago's attempt to insert the block into the alcove with the handle in the right position is unsuccessful, as the same force blocks his attempts. Turning the handle to the up (right and locked) position, Iago is successful in placing the block into the alcove and immediately disappears leaving Yuki with an unconscious Pelenal.
