Kai feints, attempting to create an opening, and then thrusts forward with his short swords, attempting to impale the creature. ((Kai should still be flanking across from Krod and I calculated the attacks assuming as much)

((Krod, you did your attack of oppourtunity and attack for the end of round three. Both Kai and Korwin did their attacks for the beginning of round 4. After they go, then it's Silar, then back to you. I will be posting either in a little bit or when I get home.))

DM Edit: After thinking about it, I am changing the concealment to ranged weapons outside of 10 feet only. If the trees were thick enough to provide concealment within a 5 foot area, your movement would be next to nil. Dave erase your concealment check. Only Silar and the dwarf will be affected by this.

Krod’s chain snakes out and tattoo’s Silar on the chest. Pulling it back in and whipping it around again, he tangles the chain around the orcs feet. Grinning, Krod pulls with a mighty roar, dropping the orc on his ass.

KORWIN

Korwin sees the orc go down and bursts out of his invisibility, his chain whistling through the air like a striking snake and just as deadly.

Attack: 13 + 11 = 24

Damage: = 4

Sudden Strike Damage: = 4

Total Damage: = 8

Whipping the chain around the orc's limbs and then yanking it sharply back, Korwin fades from view once again.

Kai moves to G4, attempting to keep the orc on the ground.

Attack (1d20+8-2) = 4+8-2 = 10
Damage (1d6+2+4d6) = 4+2+15 = 21
Attack (1d20+8-2) = 13+8-2 = 19
Damage (1d6+1+3d6) =1+1+11 = 13

Seeing a downed foe, Korwin and Kai both swoop in, chain and swords arcing in. Korwin’s chain leaves a purple bruise on the downed orc while Kai’s sword slap against the orc’s armor, not quite breaking through.

The dwarf moves a little forward and the party notices he holds a pair of repeating crossbows of small size. Two bolts fly forward but thump into a tree, not making it through to their target. With a curse, the dwarf uses his thumbs to push a lever on the inside of each crossbow, reloading from the bolt cartridge.

With a growl Silar jumps to his feet (I will need an AOO from each person) and takes a small step to the south. Pulling a horn from under his cloak, the orc brings it to his lips and blows. A shrill sound echoes forth and within seconds another horn blow is heard to the southeast … very close.

ROUND FOUR:

Order of Battle:
Krod

Krod, seeing an opportunity as the archer jumps up lashes out with his chain.

Attack:d20' : 6 + 16 = 22

Damage 2 'd6' : 6, 3 + 15 = 24


Cursing as his chain hangs briefly on some foliage Krod moves closer to the archer ((5' SE)) and snakes his chain out aiming for a leg again to try to trip him once more.

Kai attempts to slash viciously at Silar he stands and begins to move away.

If he doesn't yet have his dexterity bonus, the sneak attack damage is (4d6) = 17

KORWIN

Seeing an opportunity present itself and hardly believing his luck, Korwin bursts out of invisibility once more, lashing out with his chain in an attempt to shred the orc's flesh.

Attack: 1 + 11 = 12 (( ugh ))

Damage: 1

Sudden Strike: 17

Total Damage: (( Zip, Zero, Zilch because I rolled a stupid "1" on the attack ))

I hope we bring this one down quickly, I need to rest and regain my Ki powers. I suppose I'll have to rely on trip attempts and let Kai and Krod finish him off. And still no sign of the other two... this is NOT good.

Seeing Silar jump to his feet, Kai, Korwin and Krod all lash out at the same time. Krod’s chains barely miss the orc, while Kai blade stabs home. Korwins chain, meanwhile, gets tangled in the foliage and he misses completely.

Krod spins his chain around again and lashes out with it, twining it around Silar’s feet. This time the orc is ready and he dexterously manages to disentangle himself. With a grin and a snarl, Silar attempts to turn the tactic back on Krod, using his own weapon against him. ((Krod need a STR or DEX check please.))

Another horn blow emanates from the jungle, much closer than before. The group sees figures throughout the jungle, orcs wearing black armor, advancing towards the party.

The dwarf yells out, “Don’t let Silar escape. We have him.”

KORWIN ROUND 5 ACTION

Korwin recovers from his previous attack, takes a 5' step to D2 and launches his chain at Silar once more, attempting to trip him again.

If I can put him on the ground, maybe Krod can crush him, and then we can deal with these pesky orcs.

Strength Mod: 0 + 20 + 10 for natural 20 = 30

Kai comes in low ((moves to F2)), seeking to draw Silar's guard down, then striking high towards his chest. His second blade comes whistling behind the first.

Krod easily escapes Silar's attempt to trip him.

Kai steps forward and once again attempts to plunge his blades into the elusive orc. Both shots miss badly. The dwarf moves up next to Krod and fires two shots at Silar. One bolt misses while the other plunks directly into the chest of Silar, drawing a exclamation of pain followed by a vicious snarl in return.

The orcs see the party and with encouraging shouts, run towards the party as fast as they can through the thick jungle. Underestimating the thickness of the jungle, four of the orcs trip at various points throughout the run. The remaining five orcs get out of the way or jump over the prone orcs and continue their rush. Two orcs reach Kai and Korwin and continue their movement, plowing into the party members in an attempt to bull rush them. ((I will need STR checks from Kai and Korwin. Korwin is -4 due to size on this check. I will need an AOO from Kai and Korwin each on their respective orcs.)) The remaining orcs charge towards Krod and the dwarf. ((Krod I will need an AOO from you.))

((The fire has pretty much burned itself out and there are no more penalties for being in the area.))

The orc rushing Korwin manages to set his feet and push the gnome backwards (D1), taking hits from Korwin and Kai while doing so. Kai’s orc, on the other hand, is stopped dead in his tracks, taking a slice from Kai’s sword as it gets too close.

Krod, eyeing the oncoming orcs with a grin, snakes his chain around three times, taking down three orcs on successive hits.

Korwin moves closer to Silar, whipping his chain out and attempting to trip Silar up. The blow hits, wrapping up around Silar’s legs. Though small, Korwin’s grip is good, and Silar once again goes to the ground, a small growl escaping his lips.

Silar, surrounded yet again, stands up ((AOOs from Krod and Kai please)) tumbles his way southeast out of danger and comes up glaring. Speaking to the dwarf in common, Silar says, “I will give you a taste of what I have in store for you, killer of Basar.”

Seeing the orcs rush in from the jungle Krod just grunts and grins at the thought of more battle.
